Africa will be a priority for Brazilian foreign policy in 2024

by admin-anb

Brazil’s special advisor for international affairs, Celso Amorim, said this Tuesday that 2024 will be the year of Africa in Brazilian foreign policy, during a business event held in São Paulo.

“I dare to say that next year (2024) will largely be the year of Africa in Brazilian foreign policy”, stated Amorim, at the opening of the 11th Edition of the Brazil-Africa Forum, which began today in São Paulo.

According to the representative of the Brazilian Government, cited by Lusa, this first year after the election of the President, it was necessary for the country to reinsert itself into the world and, therefore, the head of State, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, attended international events of various natures, but, he stressed, the message is that “there will be increased attention” towards Africa.
