US Mission To AU Partners Africa Celebrates

To promote intra and inter-African trade and tourism, the United States Mission to the African Union (AU) has collaborated with Africa Celebrates, a Pan-African event series which showcases Africa’s rich and diversified cultural heritage, alongside the successes of Africans in the arts, music, dance, cuisine, fashion, films, innovation & technology, business, and all fields of human endeavour, to host this year’s event.

Organised and packaged by Legendary Gold Limited, Africa Celebrates will be held from October 25 – 28 at the headquarters of the African Union Commission and Skylight Hotel, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The 2023 event series which is themed “Achieving African Integration through Art, Culture, Heritage, Tech & Business – Leveraging on AFCFTA Implementation”, would foster African integration by highlighting the continent’s rich cultural heritage, which can serve as a catalyst for social and economic growth.

The theme aligns with the African Union’s theme for 2023 “Accelerating the Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area.”
Africa Celebrates also encourages Africans and the rest of world to patronise Made-in-Africa food, clothes, music, dance, films, arts, crafts, and heritage.

Other partners of the event are: the African Union which is also a host partner, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Ethiopia, the Africa Tourism Board, Pristine Marketing Group and Studio 1888.
On the list also are: Africa for Africa Women Organisation, J4ward Global, Design Essentials, Dumele, Mayalz Events, Kana TV, Art TV, Kenniz FM, Global Green Development Group, Platinum Entertainment Producers, and Ethiopian Airlines and the Skylight Hotel – the event’s official airline and hotel.
