Sao Tome and Principe: PM Represents The State In The General Assembly Of The United Nations In New York 

The Prime Minister and Head of Government, Patrice Trovoada, who is in New York representing São Tomé and Príncipe at the United Nations General Assembly, participated in the High-Level Political Forum on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals of the UN, announced the country’s government source.

In this meeting that precedes the 78th UN General Assembly, the Heads of States and Governments carried out a comprehensive review of the status of the 17 SDGs, at a time when we are halfway towards the goal defined to achieve these objectives.

In his speech, the UN Secretary-General, António Guterres, called for a global recovery of the Sustainable Development Goals and stated that only 15 percent of the objectives are on track.
