The 2023 edition of Felabration, an annual festival and celebration of the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti, kicked off in grand style in Lagos, Nigeria on Monday.
The theme for this year’s programme is question-jam-answer.
A week-long lineup of activities started with the Fela debates in the morning and the concert at night.
The debate tagged ‘Leveraging on the Global Rise of our Creative Economy,’ had several professionals like Obi Asika, Lola Shoneyin, Jahman Anikulapo, Thembi Mpungose Niklas and Oye Akindeinde as panelists. The event was held at the NECA house, Lagos.
Oxlade, Aramide, Skales and others dazzled the crowd of music lovers at the grand opening night of the concerts at the African Shrine, Ikeja, Lagos.
Other musical artists are expected to grace the stage at the festival which ends on Sunday night.
