BAND Tabanka Djaz celebrates 30 years of career and the celebration concert will take place on November 18th in Lisbon, Portugal. As a novelty, the group will release a new EP next month (release with less music tracks than an album).
Formed in Guinea-Bissau, Tabanka Djaz quickly gained international prominence without a record yet.
After touring the United States of America (USA), the band released their first album in 1990, titled Tabanka.
Despite the instability of the previous world economic crisis, Tabanka Djaz’s latest album, after the silence of 2013, puts the band back on the big international stages.
Until 2019, they follow a routine of tours for audiences who appreciate world music and African music, later interrupted by the pandemic.
