The company Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) will resume, in December, the air connection between Maputo and Lisbon, JA Online learned today.
The announcement was made, on Monday, by the company’s general management, which talks about affordable rates.
According to the general director of LAM, João Carlos Pó Jorge, cited by Lusa, the interrupted connections, in 2021, aim to reestablish the cultural and commercial rapprochement that exists between Mozambique and Portugal.
“The resumption of the flight to Lisbon is done on a very close basis. There are cultural, commercial and ethnic issues between these two destinations. It is one of the densest routes we have in addition to the regional and domestic ones. We want to offer a Mozambican product.”
