The Atlas Lions gained 7.02 points, rising to 1,551 points against 1,558 points in the last classification. The Senegalese selection, valiant champion of the African Cup of Nations, retains its first African place.

A ranking that comes after the success of Vahid Halilhodzic’s men against South Africa (2-1) and Liberia (2-0) in qualifying for the 2023 African Cup of Nations, after falling against the States United in a friendly match (3-0).

At the world level, the FIFA ranking is dominated by Brazil, followed by Belgium, Argentina, France and England, which closes this top 5.
