Morocco: Earthquake – GPBM Increases Its Contribution To The Special Fund To 1 Billion DH

The Professional Group of Banks of Morocco (GPBM) announces an additional donation of 150 million dirhams to the Special Fund for managing the effects of the earthquake that hit the Kingdom of Morocco. He thus increases his contribution to this fund to 1 billion dirhams.

“Confirming its commitment to the national solidarity effort for the benefit of our fellow citizens affected by the earthquake of September 8, 2023, the Profession犀利士 al Group of Banks of Morocco announces that after an initial financial contribution of 850 million dirhams, the banks are making a additional donation of 150 million dirhams to the Special Fund for the management of the effects of the earthquake which hit the Kingdom of Morocco, to support the measures taken in favor of orphaned wards of the Nation following this earthquake. This is what the GPBM has just announced in a press release signed by the president of the group, Othman Benjelloun.

This additional donation brings the banks’ total contribution to 1 billion dirhams.

The GPBM reaffirms that “the banking sector remains mobilized today and in the future to support this dynamic of national solidarity which confirms the resilience and capacity of our country to meet challenges in all circumstances under the Enlightened Leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI may God help him.
