Minister of Economy Abdel Salam Ould Mohamed Salah held talks today in Johannesburg with Algerian Finance Minister Aziz Fayed, on the sidelines of the BRICS summit.
The two sides reviewed “the status of bilateral economic and financial relations, as well as prospects for developing and strengthening them, especially in the financial sector, the renewable energy sector and the training sector,” according to a statement issued by the Algerian Ministry of Finance.
The two ministers affirmed, “their will to make all possible efforts to raise cooperation between the two countries towards an enhanced and profitable partnership for both parties,” as the statement put it.
The Minister of Economy will represent Mauritania at the 15th session of the “BRICS” summit, which will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 22 to 24 August.
