The recent barbaric attacks which have devastated our country deserve that all its components form sacred union around the victims and especially the homeland. To launch this urgent appeal to the different communities, the Ministry of Crafts, Culture, Hospitality Industry and Tourism organized, yesterday at the Bamako International Conference Center (CICB), a meeting “which places Mali above all” with the cultural, traditional and artistic communities of our country.
The theme of the event was entitled: “Tabalé: strong call for a patriotic and civic surge”. Prime Minister Choguel Kokalla Maïga chaired the ceremony in the presence of several members of the government. Representatives of different communities, including localities victims of attacks, took turns at the podium to express their availability to support the Transition authorities. In six cross-border languages (Bamanakan, Fulfuldé, Songhoi, Tamasheq, Dogosso and Soninké), messages of sacred union and support for the Malian Army were transmitted.
The Minister of Crafts, Culture, Hotel Industry and Tourism explained that this initiative is the result of an instruction from the President of the Transition, Colonel Assimi Goïta, to the government. The decision of the Head of State aims to undertake actions to set in motion synergies for the defense of the homeland, for peace, in order to preserve our national unity. Andogoly Guindo stressed the importance of using our cultural resources. According to him, their commissioning is a necessity today to regulate tensions and establish a climate of peace. He said this call is a cry from the heart to cultural resistance.
The objective, indicated Minister Guindo, is to synergize traditional legitimacies, cultural actors, traditional communicators, cultural and civil organizations to create sacred union in order to consolidate living together and social cohesion. . .
The head of the department in charge of Culture also indicated that the meeting is an invitation for all the Malian people and the world of culture in particular to rethink the cultural resources necessary for the national revival for the defense of the homeland, peace and national unity.
“If we do not form sacred union, it will be over for our country. United we will win,” said Andogoly Guindo clearly, before paying tribute to the Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) who have reaped resounding victories. Finally, he invited Malians to relieve suffering families. “We must unite our intelligence, our energies and our means to save Mali,” he concludes.
The Prime Minister invited the population to provide unconditional support to the Malian Armed Forces. Choguel Kokalla Maïga insisted, we must avoid amalgamations at all costs and give our lives for the country, if necessary. The head of government also called for sacred unity around our country. For Prime Minister Maïga, the fight that Mali is waging against the enemies of peace is a just cause. This is why, he declared, the people must be certain that we will win the war. He praised the partners who support our country in these difficult times.
