Libya: Rome Seeks To Make The Republic A Strategic Supplier Of Raw Materials – Daniele Rovinetti

Italian analyst and political expert Daniele Rovinetti said that his country has been trying for a long time to help Libya find the fastest way to hold presidential and parliamentary elections.

In press statements, Roviniti affirmed the right of the Libyans to choose who governs them, calling on his country’s government to work to stabilize the Libyan file; Because it is crucial for Libyan citizens and the Mediterranean region.

He believed that the stability that Italy seeks to lead could make Libya a strategic supplier of raw materials in the energy market.

He pointed out that his country played an important diplomatic role as it facilitated holding a diplomatic meeting agreed upon by the two governments, when there was an opportunity and acted as a strategic mediator.

Rufinetti concluded: “There is no parallel line. Italy has always maintained dialogue with both the National Unity Government and the Council of State in Tripoli, and with the House of Representatives in Benghazi. The matter does not only concern the energy issue, but it has a diplomatic approach and dialogues with all parties.”
