Jarso Marley Jallah, the Liberian Minister of Education, embarked on a visit to the Ghana TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) Service. The visit was part of a broader initiative to exchange knowledge and best practices in technical education between the two countries, with Ghana’s TVET Service playing host to the Liberian delegation.

Mr. David Prah, along with several directors and staff of the TVET Service, welcomed Dr. Jallah and her delegation. The atmosphere was one of mutual respect and eagerness to learn from each other’s experiences in the realm of vocational education.

During the visit, the Director-General of Ghana’s TVET Service delivered an insightful presentation that outlined the history, achievements, and ongoing initiatives of the service. The presentation highlighted Ghana’s commitment to enhancing technical education as a means of driving economic growth and development.

Dr. Jallah expressed her delight in the knowledge shared and her enthusiasm for the potential to implement the learned experiences in Liberia. She noted that the insights gained during the visit could significantly contribute to the revitalization of Liberia’s own TVET sector. The Minister underscored the importance of adopting best practices from Ghana to improve the quality and reach of vocational education in Liberia, with the aim of equipping more Liberian youths with the necessary skills for the job market.

This visit marks a promising step towards deeper cooperation between the two countries in the education sector, with both parties optimistic about the positive outcomes that could arise from this partnership
