Pemba witnessed the inauguration of a new business park – the “ACRE Business Park” – in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Valige Tauabo, Governor of the Province of Cabo Delgado.
Located in the centre of Pemba, on one of the main arteries of the city, Avenue Alberto Joaquim Chipande, the prestigious business and retail centre has available warehouses, shops for service companies such as banks, pharmacies and insurance companies, office spaces and a Business Centre.
In total, 6,647m2 of covered area is available, divided as follows:
Four warehouses with sizes ranging from 750m2 to 1,100m2;
Nine ground floor retail stores with areas between 45m2 and 160m2; and
1,340m2 of first floor office space.
The client portfolio already includes prestigious companies such as FNB, “Blue”, Cash & Carry, WHO, UNICEF and MSF.
For the project’s promoter, African Century Real Estate (‘ACRE’), which has several real estate projects in the province, this is an extremely important milestone, as the company has been severely affected by the recent attacks on Palma.
In March, 2021, ACRE had three major projects in Palma: the four-star ApartHotel “Palma Residences”, a camp for 600 people, the “Palma Business Park”, and an office building that served to support the LNG project.
All workers were rescued without loss, and many are now part of the Pemba team and directly linked to ACRE Business Park’s new business centre.
Commenting on the new investment, Pedro Pinto, CEO and Founding Partner of ACRE, said:
“The country and the Province of Cabo Delgado should welcome the enormous effort that is being made to minimize the impact of these terrible events, and must continue to look to the future with a smile, because the future is made through work, and there is opportunity for all.”
