Guinea: LONAGUI Launches Its First Scholarship Program

In the execution of its CSR policy, the National Lottery of Guinea – LONAGUI launched its first scholarship program called “LONAGUI SCHOLARSHIP” during this month of September. This scholarship will finance the Master’s studies of 11 young Guinean graduates in Guinean universities.

It is with great enthusiasm that the managers of the CSR department of LONAGUI launched this first scholarship program which aims to support young Guineans who do not have the financial means necessary to afford advanced university studies. This initiative is part of the vision advocated by the President of the Transition, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, that of betting on Guinean youth for the inclusive development of the country.

In setting up this program, the Directorate of the National Lottery of Guinea was keen to offer the necessary learning conditions to future winners. Thus the LONAGUI SCHOLARSHIP will allow the financing of tuition fees for the two years of the academic cycle. In addition, a monthly maintenance grant amounting to 500,000 Gnf will be paid to each student over a period of 20 months. For this first edition, the choice fell on 6 strategic sectors, distributed as follows:

➢ Accounting and Finance (3 Places),
➢ Right (2 Places),
➢ Communication (2 Places),
➢ Marketing (1 Place),

➢ Have a general average of 14 (or equivalent) in license;

A commission set up will be responsible for an initial selection based on compliance with the various criteria defined in advance.
