Egypt: The National Museum Of The Country’s Civilization Organizes Free Guided Tours For Its Visitors On The Occasion Of International Museum Day

As part of the celebration of the International Museum Day, which falls on May 18 of each year, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization organizes, on Thursday, free guided tours for Egyptian visitors and people of determination who are deaf and dumb.

Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the Museum Authority, said that the tours will start at ten in the morning until four in the afternoon. Where the museum’s trustees will accompany the visitors on a tour inside the various halls of the museum, which includes archaeological treasures that express the Egyptian civilization throughout the ages, and highlight its role as one of the important tourist destinations in the world.

The museum, in cooperation with the Digital Egypt Builders initiative, will also conduct a live experience in front of visitors, on augmented reality, for a selection of the most prominent artifacts displayed by a group of students of the digital arts track of the initiative.

It should be noted that the International Museum Day is in coordination with the International Council of Museums, and highlights a different theme every year, aiming to emphasize the role of museums. The International Museum Day is launched this year, under the title “Sustainability and Quality of Life”.
