Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobky, Chairman of the Public Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, met with Shazia Nadim Nassar, General Manager of Unilever in North Africa, the Levant and Iraq, and Susan Hassanein, Head of Foreign Affairs and Media Sector at Unilever North Africa, the Levant and Iraq and Mian Seoudi, Marketing Director of Oral Care Jurisprudence, Unilever Egypt and Sudan, at the Headquarters of the Health Care Authority.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki thanked the representatives of Unilever for the company’s fruitful and continuous cooperation with the Health Care Authority, the most recent of which was the implementation of the “Your Health” campaign, in which “Hold Your Hands and Your Teeth” to raise awareness about maintaining the safety and health of the mouth, teeth, and hand hygiene. Al-Sabki pointed out that awareness services were provided to more than 800 people.
One thousand citizens in the framework of this campaign in the governorates to implement comprehensive health insurance, including 160 thousand citizens in Port Said, 270 thousand citizens in Ismailia, 250 thousand in Luxor, and 125 thousand in Suez, in addition to the awareness campaign through social media and television advertisements to reach the largest number of citizens, Expressing his appreciation for Unilever’s cooperation in this successful campaign.
The meeting discussed concluding a cooperation protocol to establish a strategic partnership between the General Authority for Health Care and Unilever for a period of three years, with the aim of educating citizens about the importance of taking care of oral and dental health and hand hygiene. This partnership will include awareness of various messages to school students, advertising campaigns, social media, and in public squares and places, in addition to Training programs for health service providers, including dentists, to raise their efficiency in the Healthcare Authority’s hospitals.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki stressed that enhancing awareness of oral and dental health and hand hygiene is vital to maintaining the health of society in general, noting that cooperation between the Public Authority for Health Care and Unilever aims to achieve a positive and sustainable impact on society, by enhancing awareness and educating citizens, pointing out that The campaign is directed at citizens in general, and at patients exposed to oral and gum diseases such as tumor patients and cleft lip patients in particular.
