Egypt: Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – The “100 Days of Health” Campaign Provided More Than 31 Million And 238 Thousand Free Services To Citizens.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, announced that 31,238,993 medical services have been provided through the “100 Health Days” campaign since its launch last June 25, until yesterday evening, Thursday, September 14, in all governorates of the Republic.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the “100 Health Days” campaign has provided 926,928 services since its launch, as part of the President’s initiative to support women’s health – in the first visit – while occasional and recurring visits amounted to two million, 367,859 visits.

Abdul Ghaffar added that the “100 Health” campaign provided services from the President’s initiative for early detection and treatment of hearing loss and weakness in newborns, to 407,141 children, while the campaign provided two million, 808,232 services, within the President’s initiative for early detection and treatment of chronic diseases and kidney disease.

Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the campaign, since its launch, has provided 216,356 services, within the presidential initiative for maternal and fetal health, and 385,688 services for issuing certificates from the president’s initiative to examine those about to marry, and 139,150 citizens were treated, within the president’s initiative to end waiting lists. Issuing treatment decisions at state expense for 867,785 citizens.

Abdul Ghaffar said that the “100 Days of Health” campaign provided the services of the President’s initiative to examine cancerous tumors (prostate, colon, lung, and cervix) by filling out one million and 171 thousand and 960 questionnaires, adding that the total number of people visiting the medical convoys reached 798 thousand and 677 citizens.

Abdul Ghaffar continued that the number of female beneficiaries of family planning clinic services reached 5 million, 340 thousand and 763 beneficiaries, and home visits to rural women pioneers reached 5 million 53 thousand and 697 visits, and the rates of vaccinating children with routine vaccinations reached 10 million 565 thousand and 19 children.

Abdul Ghaffar added that the “100 Health Days” campaign provided 189,738 services in the field of mental health, including emergency services, psychological treatment, addiction treatment for adults and adolescents, rehabilitation, psychological support, following up on complaints and responding to inquiries.

Abdel Ghaffar added that the “100 Health Days” campaign provided awareness and health education services to about 3,942,243 citizens, through community outreach teams spread across public areas, clubs, and malls in the governorates, to raise awareness and direct citizens to receive the services of public health initiatives provided by the campaign. Educational seminars and awareness activities were also held.

Abdul Ghaffar called on all citizens to go to the campaign’s service headquarters and mobile clinic locations, to benefit from its services, or to request home visits for elderly patients and those unable to move via the hotline “15335.”
