Egyptian Ambassador in Kampala Ashraf Sweilam held a celebration Wednesday marking the handover of a solar-powered station that Egypt has granted to Uganda.

The Foreign Ministry said on Facebook that the celebration was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East African Community Affairs Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga and Energy Minister Ruth Nankabirwa Ssentamu.

The two officials thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the government for boosting bilateral ties.
