Comoros: State Visit To The Emirates – Several Cooperation Agreements Signed In Abu Dhabi

The two countries exchanged on areas of cooperation as well as development opportunities and prospects in various economic, trade, investment aspects in order to realize the aspirations of the two countries and their people.

President Azali Assoumani began a state visit of a few days to the United Arab Emirates yesterday at the invitation of his counterpart Mohammed Ben Zayed Al Nahyan. This visit is part of “the strengthening of cooperation between the two friendly countries”, according to the head of Comorian diplomacy, Dhoihir Dhulkamal. The Head of State and President of the African Union was received yesterday, Thursday, in audience at the royal palace in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. And during the meeting, His Highness welcomed the visit of the President of the Comoros to his country before wishing him every success in his visit, hoping that it will contribute to broadening the horizons of cooperation in broader areas that boost development and prosperity in both countries.

During the meeting, “the two sides discussed areas of cooperation between the UAE and Comoros, as well as opportunities and prospects for development in various economic, trade and investment aspects in order to realize the aspirations of both countries and their peoples.

The meeting also addressed a number of regional and international issues of common interest, and they shared “their views on issues of development and stability on the African continent, emphasizing, in this context, the importance of strengthen stability and security and find peaceful solutions to ongoing crises that hinder the achievement of global sustainable development and prosperity for all people. His Highness and the Head of State also attended the exchange of memorandums of understanding between the two countries. “A memorandum of understanding in the field of diplomatic training…exchanged on behalf of the United Arab Emirates by His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and on behalf of the Republic of Comoros, the Minister Dhoihir Dhul Kamal,

“A memorandum of understanding in the field of Education was exchanged between His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, His Excellency Dhoihir Dhul Kamal, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,” underlined a Comorian technician on site in Abu Dhabi.
We also learn that “a memorandum of understanding in the field of public health was exchanged between His Excellency Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Community Well-being of the United Arab Emirates and His Excellency Dhoihir Dhu Kamal, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Union of the Comoros. Finally, the two countries signed “A memorandum of understanding aimed at developing, improving, managing and operating a hotel…”.
