Comoros: Chamber of Agriculture- Elected Officials Set To Elect National Officer Of The Chamber

The 4 elected officials will join their colleagues from Ndzuani and Ngazidja to elect the national office of the Chamber of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.

Thirteen elected officials from the Chamber of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries met on Wednesday August 30, 2023 in the former House of Spices in Fomboni to elect its island office.

An office composed of a president, three vice-presidents, a secretary general and his deputy. Ahamada Djoubeir, president of the electoral commission, said that “after electing the members of the island office, 4 more people must be elected, including two fishermen, a farmer and a breeder.” The 4 elected officials will join their colleagues from Ndzuani and Ngazidja to elect the national office of the Chamber of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.

“Now the machine must start and these people must take their responsibilities so that the Chamber can be set up,” he recommended. He finally invited the elected representatives of the island and national office to “make efforts because the population has confidence in them”, and also to “do what is necessary so that they have something to eat at an affordable price”.
