Thirteen elected officials from the Chamber of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries met on Wednesday August 30, 2023 in the former House of Spices in Fomboni to elect its island office.

Ahamada Djoubeir, president of the electoral commission, said that “after electing the members of the island office, 4 more people must be elected, including two fishermen, a farmer and a breeder.” The 4 elected officials will join their colleagues from Ndzuani and Ngazidja to elect the national office of the Chamber of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
“Now the machine must start and these people must take their responsibilities so that the Chamber can be set up,” he recommended.
