Chad: CTCV suggests control measures in the face of rising fuel prices in Moundou

The Chadian Collective Against Expensive Living (CTCV) of Dingamnayel Versinis initiated a day of protest on November 28, 2023 without motorcycles or machines in Moundou to contest the rise in fuel prices. Versinis shared his perspectives on this event in an interview.

According to Versinis, although participation was not total, many conscious citizens supported the initiative. He expressed his disappointment at the intervention of the authorities to prevent this day of peaceful protest and warned that if the situation did not improve, further action would be taken.

Versinis greeted those who observed this day in Moundou, calling on them to remain aware and fight for a decent life. He suggested solutions to control prices and prohibit illicit sales.

Regarding contacts with the authorities before the day of protest, Versinis mentioned that they had approached the police delegate.

Versinis highlighted the inconsistency between high fuel prices and Moundou’s status as an economic city, emphasizing the need for increased monitoring and transparent management of fuel prices.
