Rigobert Song’s centre [pback partner back in the day, Raymond Kalla was appointed team manager while former Indomitable Lions goalkeeper Souleymanou Hamidou was appointed as the goalkeepers’ trainer.

On the other hand, Raphael Fevre was appointed as the fitness trainer while David Baltaze was appointed as the video analyst.

The new technical team has as first assignment the 2022 FIFA World Cup play offs against Algeria at the end of this month.

This will be a bigger test for Rigobert Song who has previously been coach of Cameroon’s U-23 football squad and the Intermediate national team without great success.

With the Intermediate team, he crashed out at the group stage of the 2018 African Nations Championship while with the Under-23 he still could not go past the group stage.
