Cameroon: Paul Biya Receives The Emissary Of President Sassou Nguesso

The Congolese Minister of Economy, Planning, Statistics and Regional Integration of Congo, Mrs. Ingrid Olga Ghislaine Ebouka-Babackas, special envoy of Congolese President Dénis Sassou Nguesso, was received in audience at the Palace of Unity, this Tuesday, June 14, 2022, by the President of the Republic of Cameroon.

Paul Biya and the emissary of the President of the Republic of Congo discussed subjects of common interest of the two brotherly and neighboring countries.

Speaking to the press, at the end of this audience of almost an hour, the Congolese minister recalled that Cameroon and Congo “are linked by geography, but also by history. The two Heads of State maintain fraternal and friendly relations which mean that they often discuss current issues, particularly on major subjects”.

With this in mind, the Congolese minister recalled that the world is going through “a great crisis. The food crisis born of the armed conflict between two states in Europe”. For Ms. Ingrid Olga Ghislaine Ebouka-Babackas, this news means that today, the two Cameroonian and Congolese Heads of State think that it is necessary, as usual, to have exchanges of views on subjects of common interest.

In front of the press, the special envoy of President Denis Sassou N’Guesso declared that she was carrying a closed envelope intended for President Paul Biya, the content of which has not been revealed. “I incline to think, and you will agree with me, that the content, the premiere and the exclusivity must be reserved for its highest recipient and that is what we have done,” she said. recalled.

However, she expressed her satisfaction with the quality of cooperation that exists between Cameroon and Congo, two brotherly countries that share a common border.
