The 62nd edition of the Cameroon Cup therefore took place in the Hauts Plateaux department. Led by an experienced coach, Emmanuel Ndoumbe Bosso ensured that his players showed more enthusiasm. Fovu mainly relied on its new recruits to win the third trophy in its history. In 2001 against Cintra de Yaoundé and 2010 against Astres de Douala, the club had already been crowned.

It was the twirling Hansi Muller Douma Mbappe, who arrived a few days ago from Fauve Azur, who opened the scoring in the 10th minute. His excellent through ball forced the pass and he dropped the goalkeeper, Ning Che Bong, before pushing the ball into an empty cage.

The captain doubled the lead with a well-aimed free kick in the second period (2-0, 62nd). At this stage, many Pwd supporters in Bamenda no longer believed it. Some started to leave the stadium:

Without much in the way of play, the Abakwa Boys never worried Fovu. PWD played this final with a completely upset squad. The club has seen many executives leave such as Leonel Ateba, Etta Bawak and Karim Bello. PWD will therefore not win a second consecutive trophy.
