President of Burkina Faso, Roche Kabore took to his Twitter handle calling for calm amidst the claims of coup in the West African country.
In his tweet, the President admitted that the nation was “going through difficult times” but called on the citizens to “safeguard” the “democratic achievements” of the country.
President Kabore also asked those “who have taken up arms to lay them down in the higher interests of the nation.”
