Speaking on Friday (23), in Luanda, after swearing in the Secretaries of State for Telecommunications, Information Technologies, Pascoal Borges Alé Fernandes, and for Social Communication, Nuno dos Anjos Caldas Albino, said that the training of staff is an important condiment for the materialization and improvement of the services provided in the ministerial department.
Mário Oliveira highlighted the continuous need to provide the media with modern equipment to respond to the challenges of the new Angola, considering it urgent for the implementation of the Executive, as it is an indispensable tool for good proactive, persuasive, appealing and plural communication. .
He said that training courses will be given to increasingly qualify the sector’s staff, mainly professionals from RNA, TPA, JA and Angop, related to specific areas, in addition to others of a general scope, including techniques and engineering.
“We cannot ignore the fact that, for good communication, it is necessary to accompany a good technological performance”, stressed the minister, referring that the quality of workers reflects much of the country’s social life, as “it is imperative to continue to to privilege not only training, but also working conditions, so that they are present in the modernization programs that the sector intends to materialize”.
For this reason, he continued, the Government will continue to implement the modernization programs already started, with emphasis on the National Space Program, modernization of the network of transmitters of Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA), of Televisão Pública de Angola (TPA), this INAMET, now in its final phase, as well as the implementation of the National Broadband Network, in optical fiber, among others.
He stressed that the continuous creation of mechanisms to improve the social working conditions of the sector’s employees is another task, which he proposes to carry out, in partnership with all the living forces to achieve the recommended objectives.
Mário Oliveira also referred to the facilitation of sources by the central State apparatus to the local administration bodies, to facilitate the work of journalists in the newsrooms and noiseless communication, “where the contradictory is the cornerstone of journalism that wants to be increasingly responsible and patriotic”.
He praised the Journalists Training Center (Cefojor) for its remarkable dynamism, appealing to continue the revitalization process, with the social objective of creating better skills so that media technicians can continue to respond to the great challenges, in addition to indicating modernization as one of the pillars of the work program to which it is committed.

For TPA, he said, the modernization program does not end with the implementation of TPA Notícias, but is also preparing for the emergence of channels and improvements in the production of content, with more culture, more national and regional.
For Rádio Pública, Mário Oliveira stated that the modernization of the network of transmitters, coupled with online broadcasting and the discontinuation of the international channel in analogue format for digital, is a mission to be pursued throughout the country, to make certain areas registered grays disappear from the broadcasting map.

The official announced that the AngoSat-2 project is underway and that, shortly, the country will benefit from the services and with it operators will be able to offer new services to citizens.
He made it known that projects such as Angosat and the Earth Observation Program, as structurers, are promoting the different thematic agendas of digital transformation, positioning Angola as a driving force to accelerate Africa’s digital market and improve the business environment and technological modernization of public services.
Mário Oliveira assured that he will continue to promote the sustainable development of telecommunications for public use and form guidelines that allow, in the medium and long term, to satisfy the basic needs of populations, companies and all other users throughout the national territory.
He informed that the Government will invest in structuring and inducing projects with the creation of the television broadcasting industry and market within the framework of the digital communication strategy, the national broadband infrastructure in submarine and terrestrial fiber, the national transmission infrastructure of the satellite of the communication network project via Angosat and of the Earth Observation Program, within the framework of the strategy of the Management Office of the National Space Program (GGPEN).
Finally, the minister asked those in power for greater commitment, dedication and responsibility in their tasks, emphasizing that in order to guarantee the proper functioning of the sector, a combination of team efforts is necessary, which must strive for high levels of professionalism, selflessness, organization and discipline. , maintaining perfect alignment with the dictates of the Law.
