The First International Forum on the Reconversion of the Informal Economy begins, Tuesday, in Luanda, with a focus on fiscal sustainability.
The event, which will be opened by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, brings together experts from Brazil, Cape Verde, Mozambique and the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States, OEACP, from the European Union, from UNDP and ILO, FAO, in addition to experts from the public and private sector in Angola.
Under the motto, “the reconversion of the informal economy, the vector for economic growth and fiscal sustainability”, the event will have five round tables and visits to the markets of São Paulo and Catinton, in the country’s capital.
The challenges of the informal economy transition and economic sustainability in developed countries, good practices on an informal economy transition approach, international experiences, the new paradigm of the transition from the informal to the formal economy, the role of communication and awareness raising, as well as , financial inclusion in the formalization of the economy, are the topics of the round tables.
