Algeria: TotalEnergies, Sonatrach JV Awards Contract For Pipeline Expansion

TFT Group, a joint venture comprising Algerian National Oil Company Sonatrach and global oil and gas major TotalEnergies, has signed a contract with Entreprise Nationale de Grands Travaux Pétroliers (ENGTP) to expand the TFTII oil and gas pipeline.

ENGTP will conduct engineering studies, procure equipment and materials for the project as well as construct the pipeline, flowlines and surface facilities as part of the 8 billion dinars contract.

The extension of the TFTII pipeline will enable the connection of eleven new gas wells in the TFT field, which is located in the Illizi Basin, to an existing energy processing facility.

The project will be undertaken within 24 months and will enable the production of 9 million cubic meters of gas per day during the first phase of the 11 new wells.
