Algeria: President Tebboune Receives The President Of The National Football Federation

On Monday, President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune received the new President of the Algerian Football Federation, Walid Sadi.

The statement of the Presidency of the Republic stated that President Tebboune received the President of the Algerian Football Federation, Walid Sadi, at the Presidential Palace.

Walid Sadi was elected as the new president of FAF on September 21, during the general electoral assembly held at the technical center in Sidi Moussa.

The only candidate for the presidency of the Algerian Football Federation received 76 “yes” votes and 5 “no” votes, while one vote was cancelled.

During the electoral general assembly, Walid Sadi revealed the most important points that he will focus on during his term as president of the “FAF”:

Adopting a new organizational structure for the management of the Algerian Football Federation.
Adopting modern methods such as digitization, planning and forecasting.
Work to enrich the legal and regulatory tools necessary to correct deficiencies.
Urgent awareness of the financial situation of the federation, with the assistance of experts and the adoption of a marketing, investment, and diversification strategy
Reducing the size of federal public spending and rationalizing expenditures.
Accelerating the rehabilitation of the technical center in anticipation of the upcoming dates for the national team.
Monitoring all human and logistical resources and placing them at the disposal of the national team during Can Côte d’Ivoire 2024.
Supporting youth teams in order for them to return to the forefront.
Supporting women’s football and the women’s national team and accompanying them by all means.
Reviving school and university football with the establishment of a national school and university team in coordination with the relevant official authorities.
Rearranging matters in the Technical Directorate and seeking help from Algerian competencies inside and outside the country.
Return to decentralized training across the entire country, by installing regional directors who supervise the selection of players.
Developing indoor football to create a strong national team.
Resurrecting and developing the foundations of beach soccer and forming a strong team.
Establishing a permanent cell to follow up on all young players abroad.
Meet and listen to players in local professional and amateur football.
Opening an urgent dialogue with club officials to evaluate the professionalization project.
Developing and encouraging women’s football.
Developing the corps of referees, placing referees in the best conditions and working on good training.
Solving the problem of difference debts at the level of the dispute resolution chamber.
Increasing the responsibilities of the heads of associations in order to decentralize the management of the federation.
