Algerian international player Issa Mandi and his compatriot Amine Guiri face a Zionist competitor in the group stage of the European League competition.
This came after the European Football Association (UEFA) drew the draw, on Friday, in Monaco.
The sixth group was formed from the Spanish Villarreal team and its defender Mandy, accompanied by the French club Ran and its striker Amin Guiri, and the Greek teams Panathinaikos and the Zionist Maccabi Haifa.
In the first group, striker Saeed Benrahma and his English team, West Ham, will play against the German clubs Freiburg, the Greek Olympiacos and the Serbian TSC.
In the fifth group, front-line player Mohamed El-Amin Amoura and his new team, Saint-Geloise of Belgium, face the clubs Liverpool of England, Toulouse of France and LASK of Austria.
In Group Seven, midfielder Houssem Aouar and his Italian team, Roma, will play against the Czech clubs Slavia Prague, Moldova’s Tiraspol, and Swiss Servat Geneva. Noting that the last team includes in its ranks a young Algerian and expatriate striker, and the matter concerns Houcine Touati, who had previously received an invitation to the national team in mid-2020.
In the eighth and final group, the Algerian playmaker Rachid Ghezzal and his team, Garabagh from Azerbaijan, compete against the German clubs Bayern Leverkusen, his Norwegian club, and Swedish club Hacken.
The six rounds will be held between September 21 and December 14.
The leader and runner-up of each group qualify for the eighth round, and the third-place finisher advances to the European Conference League competition, while the bottom of the rankings bids farewell to the race.
