Presidential elections in Liberia go to second round

Liberian President George Weah and his opponent Joseph Boakai will face each other in the second round of the presidential elections on November 14, the country’s electoral authorities announced on Tuesday.

According to Africanews, the Electoral Commission announced that George Weah did not achieve an absolute majority and obtained 43.83% of the votes in the first round, while Joseph Boakai obtained 43.44%, taking the decision to the second round.
