Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, Minister of Culture, confirmed that the City of Culture and Arts in the New Administrative Capital represents the crown jewel of cultural sites in Egypt.

Al-Kilani said that the City of Arts will achieve a qualitative leap and will be managed by an international marketing company to ensure operation throughout the year. It contains many important and vital facilities worthy of Egypt.
She pointed out that the Islamic Center of Egypt has a major role in religious culture and spreading moderation in the true religion, explaining that the state has achieved many achievements in the file of culture and arts during the past period.
She demonstrated this by holding many important festivals, such as the Citadel Festival of Music and Singing and the El Alamein Festival, stressing that the city of El Alamein had been placed on the global map.
This came during her speech in the Human Building session as part of the activities of the Day of Celebration of Egyptian Universities Excellence Day, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The Minister said that the Talent Development Center was established within the cultural palaces that were developed, and the Young Innovator Award was added under the patronage of Mrs. Intisar Al-Sisi, of which 3 courses were held, and an award was added for people of determination, and another for our children abroad.
Al-Kilani pointed out the comprehensive development of cultural institutions and facilities in all governorates during the last nine years, increasing the number of culture palaces and developing 35 libraries and 19 museums, in addition to a future plan that includes establishing 4 culture houses and palaces, replacing and renovating 12 palaces and a culture house, and creating 5 new libraries. The establishment and replacement of 5 museums, the establishment and replacement of 10 theatres, the replacement and renovation of the Higher Institute for Children’s Arts, the completion of the establishment of the Academy of Arts in Alexandria, and the completion of the establishment of the Student Hospital at the Academy of Arts.
Al-Kilani touched on the implementation of the People’s Cinema Project, in cooperation with the United Media Services Company, to deliver cinematic services to deprived areas, as the project reached 21 cinemas in 19 governorates, even though it began in 2019.
She said, “The United Media Services Company broadcast all major cultural and artistic events during the recent period, and reinforced the idea that the media is one of the arms of culture. Also in this logic, a protocol was signed with the Ministry of Communications in order to digitize the artistic and cultural content of the Ministry of Culture.”
